We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Children's Home Support Worker to join our team at Esland. As a Senior Children's Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our young people, helping them to achieve their full potential.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and understanding. You will work closely with our team to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our young people, supporting them with their daily needs, education, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to our young people, including personal care, education, and leisure activities
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement individual care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met
  • Support our young people with their daily needs, including meal preparation, cleaning, and household chores
  • Encourage and support our young people to participate in education and leisure activities, promoting their personal development and well-being
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in a children's residential care home
  • A Level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare, or at least 50% complete
  • A full driving license issued in the UK
  • Full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
  • In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations, and best practice
  • Values aligned with Esland's, including a therapeutic, person-centered approach to childcare
  • Aged 21 or above, due to industry regulations
