Castleford, Wakefield, United Kingdom The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust Full time

Position Overview

Are you considering a role in community healthcare?

If you are dedicated to providing safe, effective, and compassionate support to individuals in their own homes, while helping to avoid unnecessary hospital stays, you may find a fulfilling opportunity here. Join a committed, dynamic, and welcoming Adult Community Nursing Service.

This is a pivotal moment to become part of our Adult Community Nursing Service as we evolve to meet the diverse needs of our communities, aligning with the NHS Long-Term Plan. We are collaborating with partners to enhance both the delivery and accessibility of our services, including the establishment of Integrated Neighbourhood Teams.

During our recruitment events, we will highlight key elements of our services and share the remarkable work being done within the Trust, ensuring you feel supported and valued throughout your onboarding process. Our goal is to help you achieve your full potential and instill confidence in delivering high-quality care to our service users.

If selected for an interview, you will have the opportunity to engage with members of our nursing teams and ask any questions regarding the position. The interview process will be competitive, but we encourage you to share your aspirations and address any inquiries you may have.

Note: A valid Driving License is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

As an organization, we are devoted to the growth of our staff and will provide the necessary support for you to develop your professional portfolio during your tenure. Our Adult Community Services feature an outstanding Practice Education Team that will assist in your development, enabling you to deliver exceptional care to a varied patient population. You will receive comprehensive induction training, and we offer flexible working arrangements, which can be discussed during the interview.

Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating within the Integrated Neighbourhood team, where you will have the chance to enhance your knowledge and experience in providing care to patients in their homes across various clinical environments. A list of essential and additional clinical competencies required for this role is included in the attached job description.

About Our Organization

We are committed to excellence and are at the forefront of innovation and research, investing in the education and development of our workforce.

Our core values include caring, improving, respecting, and maintaining high standards. We prioritize listening and learning to make our organization the best place for both employees and those receiving care.

We embrace diversity and welcome talent and enthusiasm from all backgrounds, regardless of age, disability, neurodivergence, gender identity, race, religion, sexual orientation, or personal circumstances. We actively encourage applications from underrepresented groups, including ethnic minorities and individuals from the LGBTQ+ community. Our policies ensure that all applicants are treated fairly and consistently.

We take pride in our staff networks, which provide valuable insights and feedback from those with lived experiences.

If you share our values and are eager to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families, we would be delighted to hear from you.
