Senior Social Work Position at Connecting Care East

Wakefield Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our integrated team in the East of the Wakefield District. We work with individuals aged 18 and over who require support.

About the Role

As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals facing complex challenges. You will:

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and application of relevant legislation, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Human Rights Act.
  • Manage a caseload of complex cases, encompassing assessment, care management, and risk mitigation.
  • Employ expert and effective practice in challenging situations, assessing and managing risks while promoting self-determination and enablement.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to colleagues or students within the organization.
  • Build strong professional relationships with multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes for individuals and their families.
