About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care and support to children, young people, and their families facing mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions and assessments to individuals within a multidisciplinary setting.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues from various disciplines, including social workers, educators, and medical professionals, to ensure holistic care.
- Building strong relationships with service users and their families, providing guidance, support, and advocacy.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records, conducting risk assessments, and contributing to care planning processes.
- Staying abreast of current legislation and best practices in mental health care for children and young people.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Substantial post-qualification experience working with children, young people, and their families within a mental health or complex care environment.
- A relevant professional qualification in nursing, social work, or another allied health profession.
- Membership of a recognized professional body.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical/therapeutic practices related to mental health.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively and conduct comprehensive risk assessments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working in community settings and diverse cultural contexts.
- Knowledge and experience of Equality and Diversity principles.
- Post-registration qualifications, such as a degree or postgraduate qualification in mental health (e.g., CBT, Family Therapy, Counselling).
