Wakefield Council's Social Care Direct Team is seeking dedicated Senior Social Workers to join our dynamic and evolving team.

We are at the forefront of adult social care, collaborating with Mid Yorkshire Community Health's Single Point of Contract to deliver innovative and person-centered support to our local communities.

Your Role:

  • Provide comprehensive assessments and advice to individuals facing a range of challenges, including physical disabilities, older age, learning disabilities, substance misuse, mental health concerns, homelessness, and offending behavior.
  • Empower individuals to maintain independence by offering guidance and information to facilitate informed decision-making regarding their care and support needs.
  • Conduct safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults.
  • Champion a person-centered approach, prioritizing the voices and experiences of those we serve.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Recognized social work qualification
  • Current registration with the Social Work England (SWE)
