Job Description:

As a Professional Support Lawyer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the knowledge and expertise all the Scottish property division. You will be responsible for staying up-to-date with legal developments, regulations, and case law related to all aspects of property law. Your primary focus will be to provide timely and accurate guidance to the solicitors, ensuring their practice aligns with the latest legal standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on property law, staying informed about changes and developments in the legal landscape.
  • Monitor relevant legislation, regulations, and case law, providing insightful analysis and summaries to the team.
  • Develop and maintain a robust knowledge management system, organising legal resources, templates, and precedents for easy accessibility.
  • Collaborate with solicitors on complex property matters, offering expert advice and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops to internal stakeholders, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal publications, articles, and thought leadership pieces related to property law.


Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with a strong background in property law - minimum of 6 years PQE.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, case law, and industry practices.
  • Proven experience in legal research and analysis, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset, eager to share knowledge and support the professional development of colleagues.
  • Previous experience in knowledge management or professional development within a legal environment is desirable but not essential.
