About the Role:

Blackwood Homes and Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care and Support Professional to join our team as a Support Worker. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our customers in their own homes across Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized care and support to customers in their own homes, in line with their individual support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in care and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they meet the individual needs and preferences of customers.

Requirements:

  • Passion for delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently in the community and as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualification (SVQ2) or willingness to undertake training.
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

What We Offer:

  • Comprehensive induction and ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Fully funded SVQ training on completion of probationary period.
  • Travel expenses and paid travel time between customer visits.
  • Company sick pay scheme on completion of probationary period.
  • 34 days' holiday per annum, pro rata for part-time hours.

  • Payment of PVG and SSSC registration.
