We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Governance Lawyer to join our team at the Financial Conduct Authority. As a key member of our Governance Team, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice on regulatory, governance, and public law matters.

About the Role

  • Provide timely and analytical legal advice on complex regulatory and governance issues
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions
  • Contribute to the development of departmental initiatives and knowledge management
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations, and provide guidance on their application

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess legal risks and provide clear analysis to inform business decisions
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team objectives
  • Develop and maintain expertise in public law and litigation
  • Communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Qualified Lawyer with relevant experience in public law and litigation
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to deliver clear analysis
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
