About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lawyer to join our Pensions team at Lloyds Banking Group. As a Senior Lawyer - Pensions Expert, you will provide specialist legal support to our Pensions and People & Places teams, working closely with senior management and executives across the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide commercially focused advice on complex transactions and occupational pensions law, strategy, and governance.
  • Negotiate with trustee advisers and external counsel on corporate transactions and restructurings.
  • Review and advise on pension documentation, including scheme rules and supplementary deeds.
  • Correspond with regulatory bodies, including the Pensions Regulator and the Pensions Ombudsman.
  • Review media and company-related statements.
  • Support corporate programmes and projects.
  • Manage pension-related disputes and complaints.
Requirements
  • Current UK legal practicing certificate.
  • 5+ years' PQE in pensions law.
  • Experience in providing commercially focused advice on complex transactions and occupational pensions law, strategy, and governance.
  • Knowledge of the wider legal and regulatory environment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
