An exciting opportunity has arisen to support our new president & publisher for the global group in an entry-level role. Providing general administrative support to the president & publisher, this is an integral role involving diary management, organising internal and external meetings, and ensuring smooth communication between internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will liaise with members of all departments and gain an insight into the publishing process and children's book industry.

Key responsibilities

Responsibility for complex diary managementArranging meetings both internally and externally including room bookings and catering when requiredOrganising domestic and international travel Managing expenses Taking meeting minutes, creating agendas, and distributing across teams appropriatelyObtaining and circulating any documentation internally for meetings as required Liaison with authors, illustrators, agents, and other external contacts as neededKey point of contact internally and externally on behalf of the president & publisher, maintaining any confidentiality as neededSupport for the global management team as required Update and manage contact listsGenerating internal and external presentationsSome office management type responsibilities (e.g. organising events, archiving paperwork, etc)Any ad-hoc duties and projects as required Knowledge, skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate evidence of the following skills and/or experience:

Proven previous experience of office administration Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional accuracy and attention to detailExcellent IT skills, including advanced MS Word, Excel and PowerpointAbility to plan, prioritise and manage a varied workload, meeting deadlinesHighly proactive, demonstrating initiativeInterest in children's book publishing Benefits
