Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will support our accounting department in managing daily financial tasks, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills and gain valuable experience in a leading firm.

Key

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.Perform reconciliations of bank statements and accounts.Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.Maintain accurate and organized financial records.Assist in preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.Collaborate with the accounting team to improve financial procedures and controls.Handle ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
AAT qualification or equivalent; working towards ACCA/CIMA is advantageous.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office, particularly Excel.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations is preferred.
