About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team at PIB Group. As a Tax Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations while maximizing tax efficiency for the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Corporate Tax Compliance: Prepare annual corporation tax computations for UK companies and support the year-end tax reporting process under UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Tax Reporting: Assist in the preparation of tax disclosures in the annual statutory accounts and calculate quarterly tax instalment payments for the group.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in tax accounting and participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in tax law and accounting principles.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist the tax Manager with ad-hoc projects and other work as and when required.
  • Process Enhancement: Proactively seek feedback and identify areas for improvement in processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualification: Professional Accounting/Tax ACCA/ACA qualification.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CTA) preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in Tax Accountant or similar role, with a strong understanding of UK tax laws and regulations.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Knowledge: Through knowledge and understanding of UK corporate tax legislation. Use of European foreign language (desirable). Knowledge of Alphatax. Experience of dealing with and understanding international tax regimes and requirements, (desirable). Strong IFRS tax accounting working knowledge and experience.
