What will I be doing?
The UK Communications Officer will lead on the creation of content, and act as lead for UK wide projects, with a focus on building the Safran brand internally and externally for all Safran entities in the UK.

Main Responsibilities & Duties will include;

  • Lead a variety of initiatives including external communication campaigns focusing on topics related to our strategies around sustainability, corporate social responsibility, early careers, diversity and inclusion and more
  • nstrumental in the communication of Safran's Employer Value Proposition, increasing awareness of our employer brand in the UK
  • Use a variety of channels to boost Safran's brand awareness
  • Key stakeholder in arranging participation in careers fairs and events for Safran in the UK

UK Projects and campaigns

  • Develop and deliver innovative campaigns to help grow Safran's employer brand in the UK in line with our Employer Value Proposition
  • Ensure adherence across all UK sites to the UK communication plan
  • Manage communication projects and social media campaigns, delivering on time and to budget
  • Coordinate attendance at national careers events, promoting a One Safran methodology
  • Coordinate the activities of the UK Communications Network including meetings presentation material and arrangement of the annual UK Communication Seminar, ensuring alignment of Safran businesses across the country
  • Assess the overall success and reach of campaigns, through generation and presentation of statistics
  • As required support the Safran UK National Executive team with conferences, events and ad-hoc communication requirements

Content

  • Work with the UK Communications Network Lead, (Seats UK Communication and Engagement Manager) communication and HR representatives, and other key stakeholders around the UK to develop campaign ideas and content
  • Develop the UK social media calendar
  • Liaise with communication leads at Safran businesses around the UK to increase Safran's brand awareness nationally through the promotion of local activities
  • Design and develop content for a range of channels including digital and video for internal and external use
  • Act as lead for communication requirements relating to UK Employee Resource Groups including the and the Networks
  • Work as part of a wider Communications function supporting business units where required

What do you need from me?
Essential

  • Demonstrable experience managing communication campaigns or projects from concept phase to completion.
  • Familiar with Graphic design platforms such as Canva, Photoshop or similar
  • Video creation with an eye for filming
  • Microsoft office programmes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Copywriting, proof reading and editing skills
  • Accurate with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once with strong time management skills
  • Strong influencing skills, evidence of developing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

Desirable

  • Communications qualification or related field, NVQ, Degree Level, CIPR or above
