About the Role

As a Community Engagement Officer, you'll work closely with customers to build strong and safe communities, organizing and developing a wide range of community engagement activities and projects. You'll be responsible for:

  • Establishing contact with individuals and groups from all sections of the community through meetings and outreach work
  • Identifying local issues and working together on solutions
  • Supporting and managing community-based programs to promote a healthy and happy environment for all our customers
  • Organizing and developing community engagement activities in line with our strategic objectives

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a candidate with:

  • Previous experience working within a community-based role or a role directly involved in supporting projects and programs designed to help people and communities grow
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Understanding of the unique challenges faced within social housing and our organization's beliefs and values
  • Proven ability to identify new ways to engage successfully with customers and communities
  • Experience of empowering communities to find solutions
