Our Apprenticeship and Early Careers team are at the heart of ensuring we have opportunities for everyone, at all stages in their career. Our team are both ambitious and dedicated to providing excellent career progression opportunities both within our organisation and for candidate's who are looking to take their first step into a new career with Westmorland and Furness Council.

As an Apprenticeship and Early Careers Officer you will play a crucial role in developing our opportunities, pathways to employment, support services and work collaboratively with all of our service areas and maintained schools, to ensure we have a skilled workforce that meets the needs of the people of Westmorland and Furness. This is a rewarding role where you will support the wellbeing of our apprentices and those embarking in their early years of their careers to enable them to successfully complete their qualifications and progress into employment or further qualifications.

You will work closely with training providers, external and internal stakeholders and colleagues to create positive learning experiences, ensure compliance, and track progress of those on programme. If you have excellent communication skills, previous experience in a similar environment, and a commitment to nurturing potential, we would love to hear from you
