We now have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Communications Officer to support our exciting Community Power agenda.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in communications – in particular have proven skills when it comes to identifying, creating and publishing powerful stories from our communities and services – stories that bring to life their valuable contribution in making Westmorland and Furness a great place to live work and thrive.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and form trusted relationships quickly.

This is a very exciting and challenging role. We want a colleague who will be a great fit with the council, who shares the council's values and will be committed to making a real difference to our communities.
