WW DESIGNER (FTC) TEST & REACT

Test and React is a top-tier strategic priority at Asos, driving innovation and excellence in line with our company's core initiatives. This is an opportunity to join Test and React team - working closely with key stakeholders across the commercial function, the team will aid expansion of Test and React by engaging and working directly with new and established suppliers. It is the fastest pace and most reactive area of the Asos

We are looking for a creative and dynamic designer to get new suppliers up to speed with our shortest lead time process. To confidently feedback to key stakeholders, Senior Directors and management, emerging trends and concepts that resonate with the Asos 20something.

What you'll be doing...

On a weekly cycle you will be looking to social media, catwalks, aspirational brands and competitors to identify the most important trends and missed opportunities to test for the Asos customer. You will collate ideas and present to key stakeholders and Senior Director level. You will use strong influencing skills to demonstrate why these are the must have pieces for our audience, whilst considering commerciality. You will be instrumental in ensuring Asos are first to market with product most relevant to the moments that resonate with our customer, whether these are mini viral moments on socials or culture shifting celebrity moments. We are looking for someone with a relentless hunger for newness and trends With the buying team you will create strong supplier relationships to integrate the T & R process, ensuring suppliers are developing/buying stocks on the most relevant fabric bases & trims, ensuring Asos quality standards are met and everything possible is done to create right first-time samples to protect the lead time. Our candidate must have strong organisational and time planning skills, and be flexible in their design handwriting and skills, you will potentially be designing across multiple product categories with different supply bases. You will work with your team to ensure the storytelling message of the trends you have identified are carried through to production, working closely with studio stakeholders to ensure the look and styling demonstrates the product in the context familiar to our customer. Working with your team and tech to ensure product production is done correctly to a BAU standard at pace. This is an exciting opportunity with high exposure to other functions and the SLT as well as new and emerging suppliers. Key Skills & Behaviours: Acute awareness of 20something platforms and a dedication to constant newness/first to market product. Embrace change and challenges across diverse product categories Organisation and a dynamic approach to problem solving, you are required to be adaptive and innovative. A collaborative approach to the supply base, building the process together. Rapidly learn across diverse suppliers, product types and customer demand Welcome feedback and take swift actions Confidence in presenting, this project involves meetings with stakeholders across all functions including senior directors. A desire to travel and visit the supply base, this will involve some flexibility outside of BAU hours and a high frequency of trips, you will be required to travel to Turkey 3 times per month.
