Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

The Securities Operations department provides custody and settlement services for clients of RBC in the British Isles.

You will be part of the Investments Administration team responsible for updating and maintaining securities portfolios for clients of RBC's UK based Investment Management business, in accordance with FCA CASS rules. You will ensure client securities trades, corporate actions transactions and income are processed in good time, and will arrange instructions for securities transfers. You will be involved in running daily control reports and investigating reconciliation breaks between client records and the custodian.

What will you do?

  • Process client trade settlement instructions
  • Process client Corporate Action transactions
  • Prepare and process client stock transfer instructions
  • Review, investigate and update Stock and Cash reconciliations
  • Understand relevant CASS rules and ensure adherence through our standard procedures
  • Prepare and book client FX transactions
  • Run and review daily Control reports
  • Dealing with queries from Front Office and CASS Team, escalating issues to relevant internal parties where necessary
  • Assist with key investment projects as required

Must have

  • Experience in Securities/finance industry
  • Excellent team player - as a member of a team, keeps other team members informed and up-to-date by sharing all relevant or useful information
  • Attention to detail - Double-checks the accuracy of information received or own work to ensure it is correct and in keeping with expectations
  • Proficiency in working to tight deadlines
