As an IRO you will carry out statutory reviews for children in care and chair Child Protection Conferences (CPCs). You'll take the lead in promoting and further developing high standards in review processes and CPCs through quality assurance monitoring and training within Children's Services and with partner agencies. You will need to have good knowledge of Care Planning and Reviewing regulations and the IRO handbook as well as a good understanding of current safeguarding and child protection issues, underpinning guidance and legislation.

You must be a Social Work England Registered Social Worker, with significant experience in children's settings. Above all, you must be able to demonstrate your passion and commitment to improving outcomes for the children and young people who are in Hampshire's care or subject of a Child Protection Plan.
