A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DUTY MANAGER at HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS LONDON - SOUTHWARK

What you'll be doing...

You can expect your working day to include the following.

Ensuring the premises are in operative condition and able to receive and serve guests with service excellence.
Maintaining an excellent service standard of the reception by constant training and motivation of the team members.
Resolving any problem a guest may face during his stay in the hotel, providing the maximum service possible always with a margin for flexibility.
Supervising and delegating duties to supervisors and preparing work schedule for them.
Monitoring the co-ordination between departments for smooth and efficient operations.

To succeed in the role of Duty Manager, you will need the following qualities and skills.

Previous experience in a similar role.
Excellent attention to detail and high level of commercial and financial knowledge.
Passionate about standards and provision of excellence in hospitality
Ability to lead and motivate a strong team and drive inclusiveness throughout the organisation
Strong, pleasant personality and ability to promote a fun through work ethos
Ability to apply a common-sense approach to problem solving and foresight to anticipate and prevent problems developing
Ability to communicate at all levels
Understanding of Hotel related laws and regulations including Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH legislation.
