We've got an exciting position to join our People team here at Matalan's Support Hub as our Talent Apprentice.

This role is fundamental to supporting the Talent Attraction, Early Careers and Talent Development teams in the delivery of the overall Talent Strategy, playing a key part in collating and reporting on people data, which can be used to make better decisions on future talent activity.

The successful candidate will provide general administrative and coordination support, which better enables the attraction and development of the best talent for Matalan.

Your Responsibilities:

Support Matalan's Early Careers and Apprenticeship offer, through key administrative duties Support with sourcing and screening candidates via the Applicant Tracking System, job boards and other means when required, working with the Talent Attraction Advisors on priority vacancies Support the collation of talent data across different systems, collaborating with the People Data Analyst to provide relevant and usable data Work with the Talent Development Team and People Shared Services to ensure the successful onboarding of new colleagues through seamless coordination, with a focus on maintaining a positive colleague experience throughout Co-ordinate and organise key talent events e.g. interviews, assessment centres, masterclasses etc Support the Talent Team by being on hand to represent the brand at key events which support the delivery of the strategy e.g. grad fairs, assessment centres, development events Clearly communicate with both candidates, colleagues and stakeholders in a timely manner around day-to-day talent activity Support social media activity to promote vacancies and build our employer brand aligned to our EVP (Employee Value Proposition) to further engage future talent Manage candidate and colleague communications to ensure a clear and consistent experience which positively engages them with our brand Regularly question the processes we have in place in relation to Talent in order to drive a continuous improvement mentality which streamlines workload and avoids duplication or non-value added tasks Collaborates with other internal colleagues and external network to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours (inc. opportunities to improve ways of working) Motivated, committed and proactive in relation to driving own development.
