We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join a busy and growing team working on a key programme of work. You will be supporting the Senior Project Manager as they work to uplift a unique live facility, this team plays a key role in delivering on our mission by de-risking our core programme. This is a condensed programme which will allow you to gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, with the opportunity to then work on other new and varied projects in the future. This is a great time to join a matrix team working to ensure the success of AWE's critical mission.

Location: We are in the Berkshire countryside between Reading and Basingstoke. This role will require the candidate to work at our Burghfield site. Due to classification of activities, this role will require the candidate to work onsite at least 90% of the time.

Salary: From £38,140 depending on experience and suitability.

Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:
A general understanding of Project Management terminology and lifecycle is essential.Experience working within a facilities or IT project environment would be advantageous.Excellent IT skills including MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.High energy levels to ensure successful project delivery.Understanding of project schedule management, dependencies, and risk assessment.Ability to effectively prioritise workload, resources, and deadlines within high pressure complex environments.A clear and concise communication style with the ability to compile reports and present to peers and Senior Managers.Ability to solve problems and deliver results through creative solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.Positive attitude and willingness to be hands-on in a fast-paced, growing company.Ability to build strong relationships with teams and stakeholders.Drive and determination to deliver excellence.The desire to develop knowledge and application techniques of project management methodologies.

All candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. It can take several months for clearance to come through.
