Oxford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom University of Oxford Full time

Location: Dickson Poon Building, Canterbury Road, Oxford (Remote working pattern in agreement with Line Manager)

The Oxford School of Global and Area Studies

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies as the Contemporary China Studies Programme Administrator on a full time, fixed term basis (maternity cover).

The Role:

The Programme is seeking a talented, versatile and conscientious full-time administrator.

The post holder will have a wide range of responsibilities from supporting the Programme Director and the school-wide OSGA Exam Board, administrative colleagues in Examination Schools, liaising closely with academic colleagues within Contemporary China Studies Programme and beyond, and providing administrative support with research ethics approvals.

The successful candidate will play a key part in developing and supporting the processes around the degree programmes and will be working to ensure that all sources of course information are made available, as required by the University policies, ensuring a positive student experience. The successful candidate will manage all enquiries from prospective and on-course students; service relevant committees, provide secretarial and other administrative support to the programme.

Liaising effectively with colleagues from across and beyond the collegiate University you will take responsibility for coordinating the CCPS events, facilitating the organisation of any hospitality, accommodation and travel arrangements, as required, including monitoring the budget allocated for each event. The successful candidate will also be supporting the programme's marketing and communications activities.

You will be based in the University of Oxford China Centre, Canterbury Road, Oxford as your normal place of work but you will be able to agree a pattern of regular hybrid working with your line manager.
