Are you looking for a new challenge with Finance? De La Rue are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join the Finance Team at our Westhoughton site.

We are currently looking for someone to join the very busy Finance team as a Management Accountant. This is a hands on, full time role and based at our Westhoughton site near Bolton.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an iconic British manufacturer and global leader of Banknotes and Authentication solutions, currently successfully delivering against a challenging growth plan despite the recent global challenges.

What will I be doing?

You will providing accurate financial information to enable the decision-making process of the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team as well as the Divisional Finance team through managing periodic reporting, forecasting and budgeting in line with standard Group requirements

Key Activities:

Product Specific

  • Prepare budgets / Forecasts by product, including Volumes, Manufacturing standards, Factory Variances, Factory fixed costs, and Capex / Inventory. Challenging site to improve performance and reduce costs at all stages.
  • Responsible for monthly management accounts preparations, analysing and explaining variances to budget / forecast.
  • FX, Cashflow & Capex Forecasting
  • Reconcile Revenue, COGS & Inventory on finance system & MRP & ensure variances are resolved in timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments, and Journals.
  • Prepare closed job analysis information and provide to Divisional Finance teams in a timely manner.
  • Support and follow the governance and operational disciplines applicable across the group.
  • Monitor and adapt internal financial control procedures as businesses processes evolve.
  • Support with external / internal financial auditors

Divisional Finance

  • Support the Finance Leadership Team and site COM, executing the Company and Site strategy for the year.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support effective decision making and to provide input as required to the annual strategic planning cycle
  • Support and follow the governance and operational disciplines applicable across the division

What we are looking for:

  • Professional finance qualification
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience of accounting in a Manufacturing / Factory environment
  • Experience of working with ERP / MRP
  • Strong experience of Cost Accounting and Management accounts

If you are from a Manufacturing / Factory accounting background but are not fully qualified we're open to to someone looking for a step up.

Please note this role is based onsite 4 days a week and 1 at home. There is some flexibility so please state any information relevant in your form.
