The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing monthly and quarterly reporting, as well as playing an active role in budgeting and forecasting. You will work closely with senior manufacturing personnel and the Senior Leadership Team to analyze manufacturing standards, quantities, variances, and business partner with the production team to challenge site performance and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, journals, and conduct variance analysis
  • Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts to a granular level, covering manufacturing targets
  • Collaborate with the production team to improve general performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction
  • Provide analysis to the group finance team regarding completed job performance
  • Identify and implement internal financial control procedures to enhance the business and support its continued development
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits

Requirements

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA)
  • 3-5 years' experience in Management accounting
  • Preferably, experience working in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of cost accounting
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience managing a team and demonstrating leadership skills
  • Experience with ERP systems in a complex environment
