Logistics Forklift Operator

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Logistics Department as a Forklift Operator. This role involves working during the night shift, specifically from 10pm to 6am, Monday through Friday.
Role Objectives:
The ideal candidate will uphold exceptional standards while delivering logistics services to both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include the organized, precise, and safe handling of raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
Additionally, the operator will be expected to maintain and implement systems and procedures that align with the current needs of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute daily tasks in accordance with established ISO work instructions.
- Perform daily safety checks on forklift equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, adhering to a 'clean as you go' policy.
- Identify and communicate any operational issues to the Team Leader.
- Report any damage to racking or equipment to the Team Leader without delay.
- Take full accountability for all materials and finished goods assigned to you.
- Ensure timely issuance and return of materials, maintaining accurate records and proper stock rotation.
- Engage in pallet construction within a chilled environment at the production line's conclusion.
- Conduct end-of-shift inventory counts.
- Utilize the warehouse management system to facilitate daily operations.
- Fulfill any additional reasonable requests as needed.
- Assist in training and supporting colleagues when necessary.
- Comply with the company's health and safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the company's hygiene standards and protocols.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a warehouse or similar operational environment.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Manual handling skills essential for pallet construction at the end of production.
- Ability to remain standing for extended periods in a chilled environment.
- An NVQ qualification or equivalent experience is preferred.
