The Southbank Centre is Europe's largest arts centre and one of the UK's top five visitor attractions, occupying an 11-acre site that sits in the midst of London's most vibrant cultural quarter on the South Bank of the Thames.
We are currently looking for a Commercial Communication & Marketing Assistant to join our Commercial team on a full time permanent basis.
The Commercial Team is a vital area of the Southbank Centre business, generating revenue to support artistic programming and maintenance of the 11 acre venue. The chosen candidate will have a passion for the arts paired with a Commercial mindset and enthusiasm for Marketing campaigns driven to food & drink, retail and business-to-business audiences.
We are looking for someone to develop and deliver evidence based, measurable, effective marketing, press, digital and social campaigns and work in collaboration with Southbank Centre Marketing & Communication teams to do so.
Key objectives
Provide administrative support to the Commercial Communication & Marketing Manager within the Commercial department. Work on Marketing campaigns for Commercial (Food & Drink seasonal pop-ups, Southbank Centre Food Market, Restaurants), Commercial Events and Retail.Develop and deliver evidence based, measurable, effective marketing, press, digital and social campaigns and work in collaboration with Southbank Centre Marketing & Communication teams to do so. Knowledge, skills and experienceInterested in the Southbank Centre's Commercial portfolio - food & drink, retail and Commercial Events/ Venue HireHas an understanding as to how Southbank Centre's Commercial revenue works to support broader innovative, bold and experimental ambitions and activates the wider Southbank Centre siteCan communicate and work well with a wide range of peopleConfident in English language writing skillsHas strong digital marketing, reporting and social media skillsHas strong attention to detail in work producedHas a creative, flexible and adaptable approach and enjoys working as part of a teamWell organised and able to prioritise managing a sizeable workload If you feel you have just some of the required skills and experience but meet the person specification, we would still encourage you to apply; we are very open to continuing the training and development of individuals who are self motivated to acquire new skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
