About the Role

Applications are sought for a Laboratory Operations Technician to provide technical support to ensure the BCI Research and Teaching laboratories and facilities are running smoothly to enable members to efficiently carry out their research projects.

About You

You are a motivated, organised, and professional individual with a BSc or equivalent in a biological or related science. Essential requirements for this post include experience of working in a research laboratory, as well as ability to carry out a range of operational tasks including equipment maintenance and support teaching activities.

You will have the ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records. Knowledge in the field of Tissue Culture and Molecular Biology techniques would be an advantage.

The Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) part of the Cancer Research UK City of London Centre and aims to transform the lives of those with and at risk of cancer through innovative research in the laboratory, in patients and in populations. BCI is internationally renowned in many areas of cancer research and it combines ground-breaking basic research with the expertise of clinicians and clinician scientists.
