About the Role

This position plays a crucial role in supporting the research activities of the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, with a focus on laboratory operations and technical support. The successful candidate will work closely with the research team to ensure the smooth running of laboratory activities, including equipment maintenance, sterilization, and waste management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to research teams, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure the proper sterilization and disposal of laboratory waste.
  • Assist with the movement of equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the research team to identify and address laboratory-related issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as biology, chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a research environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with researchers, technicians, and other laboratory staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
