Utilizing a specialized clinical trial platform, they significantly contribute to drug and vaccine development and are currently undergoing substantial growth, leading to significant investments in their advanced clinical and laboratory facilities.

Consequently, they are seeking to enhance their laboratory team by recruiting a Research Assistant responsible for executing laboratory-based assays and analyzing clinical samples.


This is a remarkable opportunity to become part of a leading clinical research organization, collaborating with a team of skilled and motivated scientists dedicated to advancing the testing of infectious and respiratory disease products in drug discovery and development.

Key Responsibilities:


- Receipt, processing, and analysis of clinical samples promptly and in accordance with laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).


- Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP).

- Conduct sample analysis utilizing Cellular, Molecular, or Virology assays, including the completion of associated laboratory documentation, such as lab books and GCP records.

- Collaborate effectively within the laboratory team, ensuring efficient communication with the broader organization, including clinical teams.

- Assist with laboratory housekeeping tasks, including reagent monitoring and equipment maintenance and calibration.

- Ensure that studies and scientific data are documented in compliance with standard operating procedures, good clinical practices, and other relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:


- BSc / MSc in a Scientific discipline such as Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Virology, Biological Science, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, or equivalent experience.

- Proven experience in scientific techniques, with demonstrable experience in an academic or regulated industry laboratory, preferably accredited to GCP, GLP, UKAS, ISO, etc.


- Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP), or GxP.

- Ability to manage workloads effectively and adapt to evolving business needs, as rapid turnarounds are often required in clinical research.

- Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a personable approach to foster relationship building within broader teams.
