The Accounts Assistant position in the Retail industry requires an individual with a keen eye for detail to support the Accounting & Finance department. This role involves maintaining financial records, processing payments, generating financial reports and supporting the external payroll provider.

Description

The Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant include:

  • Maintaining and updating financial records.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Processing invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Hands on purchase and sales ledger work
  • Inter-company transactions and reconciliations
  • Collating payroll data in preparation for external payroll provider.
  • Supporting the Accounting & Finance team in day-to-day operations.
  • Providing administrative support as needed.

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • A strong educational background in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ideally payroll exposure or experience working with an external payroll provider
  • Strong background in finance and a good knowledge of credits and debits
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
