  • Working with the business to leverage financial insight and promote appropriate management actions.
  • Supporting the development of financial engineering initiatives and business cases to support management of business performance.
  • Working with the Financial Performance Actuary to define, build and refine the reporting and MI capability within the team to ensure the robust, accurate and timely communication of financial performance metrics.
  • Liaising with other areas of the business to ensure robust and timely production and communication of financial metrics.
  • Ensuring all analysis, decisions made, and activity undertaken in fulfilling of this role considers the fair treatment of our customers.
Qualifications

Who we're looking for:
  • A part qualified actuary who has made significant progress through the actuarial exams.
  • Strong IT skills, including demonstrable experience using Prophet, Excel and DCS - with Prophet development experience being highly advantageous
  • The ability to produce technical calculations using Excel, containing a clear audit trail and controls.
  • Experience working in a financial management/financial reporting environment (ideally within a Life office) and having a good understanding/experience of various reporting metrics such as Solvency II & IFRS17 - would be highly advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence key decision makers across the business.
  • Some understanding of Protection products and the associated reporting metrics.
  • A flexible approach to work, with the ability to multi-task effectively and meet tight deadlines.
  • The ability to work effectively both within a small team and independently as required.
Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Here are some of the benefits we offer:
  • Competitive Salary
  • Study Support
  • Generous pension contribution - L&G match any personal contributions up to 5% and provide a further contribution of 6%, increasing by 1% each April until a further 10% is provided on top of any matching contributions
  • The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance-related bonus plan and valuable share schemes
  • Life assurance
  • Income protection
  • 25 days holiday, plus public holidays. There's also the option to buy and sell holiday
  • Competitive family leave
