Job Description

We're currently recruiting for a part/nearly qualified actuary to join our Retail Protection team as a Financial Performance Analyst on a 12 Month Fixed-Term basis.

This role would be ideal for someone who is making good progress through the IFoA Exams (or equivalent) and also has a couple of years of Industry Experience to draw upon.

As a Financial Performance Analyst you will support the management and optimisation of the financial results (on an ongoing basis) across all financial measures, including IFRS17. This will include disseminating financial information in an effective and informative manner, ensuring its presentation and analysis meet the wide background and experience of the customer base. You will also ensure that the performance of the Retail Protection business is continuously monitored against key metrics, by providing relevant MI and ensuring robust financial controls and procedures are in place.

Whilst this role sits within our Retail Protection team, you do not need to have previous experience of RP to be successful and we are open to applications from various backgrounds.

This is a hybrid working opportunity based from our Coleman Street Offices in London, which will allow you to work from both your home and the office so you can find a work/life balance that suits you.

What you'll be doing:
Supporting the development of the financial analytical capability within the RP Finance team to support understanding of the key drivers of financial performance.Working with the business to leverage financial insight and promote appropriate management actions.Supporting the development of financial engineering initiatives and business cases to support management of business performance.Working with the Financial Performance Actuary to define, build and refine the reporting and MI capability within the team to ensure the robust, accurate and timely communication of financial performance metrics.Liaising with other areas of the business to ensure robust and timely production and communication of financial metrics.Ensuring all analysis, decisions made, and activity undertaken in fulfilling of this role considers the fair treatment of our customers.
