1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant (Autism) - Hammersmith & Fulham based Secondary School - September 2024

We are recruiting a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 student with Autism. This 1-year position offers you the chance to make a real difference in a young person's life while gaining valuable experience in the field of Special Education.

1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to the Year 3 student with Autism, assisting in their educational and social developmentDevelop and implement tailored learning plans and interventions in collaboration with the SENCO and classroom teacherFoster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes the student's independence and wellbeingUtilise effective communication and behavioral strategies to facilitate the student's engagement in class activitiesOffer emotional and social support, helping the student build vital life skills.Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the student's needs are met1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant - Job Requirements:
Experience or qualifications in supporting children with Autism or Special Educational NeedsPatience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with childrenStrong communication and teamwork skillsThe ability to adapt to the unique learning styles and needs of the studentWillingness to learn and participate in training related to Autism and special educationEmbark on this rewarding journey as a SEND Teaching Assistant, making a meaningful impact on the life of a child with Autism.
