About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at City of London Academies Trust. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that all students receive the best possible education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with additional needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, including adapting materials to meet the needs of students with SEND
  • Support students with their academic and personal development, including helping with homework and providing guidance on independent learning
  • Work collaboratively with other support staff, including SENCOs, teachers, and teaching assistants, to ensure that all students receive the best possible support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEND
Requirements
  • Experience of working with students with additional needs, including those with SEND
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students and the school
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
