Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with SEND needs in a small, therapeutic, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with Anxiety, Depression, SEMH, and high-functioning Autism in a therapeutic learning environment
  • Engage and support pupils' learning, promoting their inclusion and maximising their achievement
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with pupils, understanding their therapy goals and aims
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, de-escalating and managing challenging behaviors

Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND needs is desirable but not essential
  • Valid DBS registration with the online update service or willingness to apply for a new one
  • Availability to commit to at least 12-39 weeks, working 5 days a week
