About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at Ribbons and Reeves Limited. As a key member of our support staff, you will provide 1:1 support to a student who is deaf, working closely with our experienced teachers and therapists to ensure the student receives the best possible education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a student with special needs, developing and implementing personalized learning plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, adapting materials and resources as needed to meet the student's needs.
  • Monitor and record the student's progress, reporting back to teachers and therapists as required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in a teaching or support role, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of the student.
  • Knowledge of special educational needs and the ability to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
