Job SummaryWe are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work closely with a child with special educational needs, providing tailored support to facilitate their learning and development within the classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one support and guidance to a child with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
- Collaborate effectively with the class teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement personalised learning plans and strategies.
- Assist with the creation and adaptation of learning materials and resources to accommodate the child's specific needs and abilities.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the child's social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Monitor and record the child's progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team and parents/carers.
- Support the child with any personal care or mobility requirements, as necessary.
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in a classroom setting, is highly desirable.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting the individual needs of each child.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, would be advantageous.
- A positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the child and the school environment.
