About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced teaching assistant to provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a KS2-4 classroom setting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with students who require additional support, and will be able to work collaboratively with the class teacher to ensure the student receives the necessary support to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, including those with behavioral and emotional challenges
  • Work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement strategies to support student learning and achievement
  • Organize and facilitate a stimulating and motivating learning environment that promotes student independence and social inclusion
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, and provide feedback to the class teacher on student progress
  • Communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting student needs
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with SEN, including those with behavioral and emotional challenges
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, and to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of current curriculum and teaching strategies, with the ability to implement behavioral and emotional management techniques
  • Enhanced DBS check and child workforce only DBS check
