Working Hours: Full-time, Mon - Fri, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

LARA Search is currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will collaborate closely with teachers and other staff members to provide individualized support and promote positive social interactions among children.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to children, aiding their learning and development.
  • Assist children with SEND in the classroom, adapting materials and tasks to meet their needs.
  • Manage behavior and promote positive social interactions among children.
  • Offer personal care and support as needed.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and staff.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment within the school community.
Requirements:
  • A passion for working with children and helping them reach their potential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A patient and caring approach to working with students.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Willingness to apply for or already possess an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS.
  • Experience with specific learning difficulties such as Autism, ADHD, and Speech and Language difficulties is desirable.
  • Ability to provide personal care as part of the role.
