The Role:

Our client, a sought after and multi-award-winning architecture practice are looking for a versatile Finance Assistant to join their friendly team in Norwich.

In this role you will work closely with the Management Accountant and the wider finance team to assist with the production of month-end reports and the processing of purchase invoices and staff expenses. In addition you will assist with bank reconciliations, preparing VAT returns and other requirements of the finance function. The ideal person will have previous experience in an 'all-round' finance/accounts assistant role and is happy to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing month-end accounts and financial performance reports
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and reporting
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register
  • Asist with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with VAT returns
  • Record transactions in SAGE 50
  • Process staff expenses and purchase ledger invoices
    Key Skills:
    • Proven experience in a Finance Assistant role
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office
    • Experience with SAGE 50 is an advantage
    • Exceptional organisational abilities and able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong team player with the capability to work independently
    • Keen attention to detail and precision
