Role Overview
The Strategic Corporate Finance team at ProTalent delivers insightful, strategy-driven solutions to ambitious organizations, guiding them through every phase of their business journey.
Our team possesses extensive cross-sector expertise and provides advisory services that include:
- Financial modeling and due diligence
- Growth through mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
- Business owner exit strategies
- Company valuations
Due to the increasing demand for our services, particularly in the area of valuations, we are excited to announce an opportunity to join our team.
As a member of the established Strategic Corporate Finance team, you can expect that valuations will constitute a significant portion of your responsibilities. However, we are also eager to provide you with exposure to a variety of corporate finance services, supporting transactions typically valued between £1 million and £30 million.
This role offers a diverse range of projects, where valuations may serve as the initial phase of larger, multifaceted engagements, or you may handle standalone valuation projects alongside other corporate finance client assignments.
Key Responsibilities
As a Strategic Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the following tasks:
- Assisting the team with a variety of small to mid-market transactions through the preparation of financial due diligence reports, information memoranda, and financial models.
- Collaborating with the team to deliver buy-side and sell-side advisory services, including M&A, management buyouts (MBO), and employee ownership trusts (EOT).
- Conducting analysis of financial statements, management information, and transaction documentation.
- Reviewing legal documents such as sale and purchase agreements and completion accounts.
- Supporting clients with completion procedures, including cash and net debt analysis.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- ACA finalist/qualified or CFA qualification (minimum requirement).
- Some experience in corporate finance, particularly in conducting company valuations using various methodologies (minimum requirement).
- Familiarity with corporate intelligence databases such as PitchBook, MarkToMarket, and Experian MarketIQ is desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to a non-specialist audience.
- Robust analytical skills, including the ability to identify inaccuracies or inconsistencies in presented data.
