The role will own and manage the evaluation of an innovative and impact-driven leadership development programme and will work closely with the Programme Director on its successful delivery.

The role will also manage communications and stakeholder reporting for the programme.


The aim of this new Wellcome Trust-funded Leadership Development programme is to support senior research leaders in leading positive cultural change and enhancing cross-sector working.

The programme will help to foster a thriving research environment within the University and lessons learned will be shared with other institutions to further aid ongoing research culture development in the sector.

The programme team will develop an institution-wide leadership programme that is tailored to the situations and barriers encountered by researchers across all disciplines.

The Leadership Programme Specialist is responsible for the evaluation, documentation, and reporting for the Leadership Development programme.

This role involves creating comprehensive learning history reports, developing reporting for senior stakeholders and funders, and establishing a learning platform and toolkit for programme participants.

Additionally, the postholder will stay abreast of the latest thinking and materials in leadership development to incorporate into programme content.

They will also create articles and marketing/communications materials to promote the programme and its impact.


This role requires strong organisational skills, a confident knowledge of evaluation processes, a keen understanding of leadership development principles, and excellent communication abilities to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be part of a small but energetic team who work flexibly and collaboratively to achieve their goals
