Caseworker and Family Liaison Officer

About the role:
To work as a part of a team within a region under the leadership of the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Casework Manager, supporting a group of schools and settings. To act as Family Liaison Officer, providing support and guidance for families of children and young people with ALN To ensure that all statutory timescales are met in relation to the drawing up of the individual development plan (IDP).
About you:
Experience of liaising with a range of professionals and outside agencies. A working knowledge of external and internal policy and practice relating to ALN. A commitment and enthusiasm for the service area with a strong drive to secure improved outcomes.
What you will do:
Provide families with information and guidance on a range of issues relating to ALN, including signposting to relevant agencies.
Ensure that parents/carers and children and young people are at the centre of all planning and reviews. Be the main point of contact for families known to the service within a region.
To co-ordinate all advices and reports as required to help inform the decision making within ALN panels.
