Caseworker and Family Liaison Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Caseworker and Family Liaison Officer. As a key member of our Additional Learning Needs (ALN) team, you will work closely with schools and settings to provide support and guidance to families of children and young people with ALN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide families with information and guidance on ALN-related issues, including signposting to relevant agencies.
  • Ensure that parents/carers and children and young people are at the centre of all planning and reviews.
  • Act as the main point of contact for families known to the service within a region.
  • Coordinate advice and reports to inform decision-making within ALN panels.

About You:

We are looking for an individual with experience of liaising with professionals and outside agencies, as well as a working knowledge of external and internal policy and practice relating to ALN. You will have a strong commitment to the service area and a drive to secure improved outcomes for families.
