About the Role


Just over 80 people work with us here in Wholesale Broking and Outplacement Services and, it's fair to say, our remit is a varied and very important one.

We work on an unusually wide range of insurance subject matter, from Complex Casualty to Financial Risk, Marine Hull to Animal Disease.


To support our existing team, we have an excellent opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our National Intermediary Services (NIS) team for 9 months.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing an effective administration service to our team in line with our policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs).


Reporting to the Team Supervisor, you'll be responsible for sorting and distributing daily electronic post, ensuring that all documentation is accurately attached to our data system to maintain up-to-date electronic files.

You will be tasked with updating workflow spreadsheets and systems with precision, adhering to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to support the broader team's efforts.


Additionally, you'll monitor online portal quotes, proactively contacting NFU Mutual Agents by phone if our data system has not been updated as required, ensuring that all tasks are completed within the agreed SLAs.

You will also administer New Business and Renewal premiums, as well as check and issue policy documentation, all in strict accordance with our policies, procedures, and limits of authority.


In this role, you will be involved in a wide range of administrative tasks essential to supporting both the team and the department.

Your responsibilities will include handling day-to-day administrative duties, ensuring smooth operations, and assisting with any tasks necessary to help the team achieve its goals.

This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to the overall efficiency of the department and to be an integral part of a collaborative and dynamic team.

About You


You will bring your strong organisation skills and be capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently, whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

This role can sometimes involve repetitive tasks, so we are seeking someone who is self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to consistently add value to our team.


You will also have:

  • Experience of working within Administration
  • Experience of working with Microsoft excel
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
