Consultant Social Worker (6197)

Permanent contract | full-time 37 hours per week | £45,290 to £49,986 per annum (Grade K) including a 10% market pay supplement | Norfolk

We have a new exciting opportunity for Senior Social Workers to become Consultant Social Workers working in CADS (Children's Advice and Duty Service). Applications from Level 2 Social Workers looking to progress will also be considered.

Social Work is a varied and demanding role which covers all aspects of day-to-day welfare and safety for all children. As Social Workers we strive to achieve the best outcomes for all the children and families we work with, whether this be from child in need to the court process.

As Social Workers, we seek to broaden our skill set during our careers and this will take us into varying roles and teams. CADS offers another dimension to this skill set; dynamic fast paced work which strives to support the work of our locality colleagues and improve outcomes for children and families.

Working in CADS will help to hone your risk assessment skills in a succinct way, build your ability to recognise continuum of need and offers the opportunity to bring your current knowledge to share and build the existing team. CADS is a supportive environment with a team of Managers and Consultant Social Workers keen to welcome those seeking a new opportunity.

Successful candidates should be able to meet the criteria in the attached person specification and be able to work Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 with some flexibility offered outside of these hours, see attached job description.
