About the Role

Cafcass is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our Public and Private Law team as a Family Court Adviser. As a Family Court Adviser, you will play a critical role in supporting children and families through the family court process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake direct work with children, gaining their views and wishes and representing these to the court via written reports and giving evidence.
  • Advocate for arrangements that are in the best interests of the child(ren) involved.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, lawyers, and judges, to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders to ensure that the needs of all parties are met.
Requirements
  • Be a Social Work England registered social worker with a proven track record of working with children and families.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of resilience and adaptability.
  • Have a deep understanding of the family court process and the needs of children and families involved.
