The role:

Head of Finance - Worldwide Operations

The Head of Finance - Worldwide Operations is a strategic partner to the Director of Worldwide Operations. This role involves producing expert financial insight and advice into one of our busiest areas of the business. Your mission? Enabling the achievement of transformation whilst adhering to revenue / cost targets and helping to inform business decisions - maximising return for the group. The operational aspect of this role will focus on maintaining and improving effective financial management and governance for the Worldwide operations in IAG Cargo.

The successful candidate will require strong business awareness and commercial acumen, project management skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work with and influence a broad range of stakeholders.

At a high level this role covers:

  • Working with the Director of Worldwide Operations as part of their exec team.
  • Provision and continuous improvement of financial reporting and governance for IAG Cargo's operation
  • Responsibility for delivering all financial aspects of strategic operational activities including the development and implementation of accounting policies and processes, governance and controls, and financial transactions within the group.
  • Being a catalyst for change and transformation through data led insight.
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual management accounting responsibilities

What you'll do:

  • Provide full financial support to the Director of Worldwide Operations and team (tactical & strategic).
  • Provide business insight and robust challenge - Identify and drive opportunities for business improvement initiative to maximise business and financial performance.
  • Present complex information in an accessible and meaningful way.
  • Effective financial planning and analysis - responsible for the preparation and tracking of Business and Financial plans (planning budgeting and forecasting) of IAG Cargo Worldwide Operations.
  • Promote change - Identify opportunities for process improvements via automation and standardisation and support or manage the implementation of any changes.
  • Protect the assets of the company - support business cases which facilitate investment decisions and robust tracking to ensure project control and delivery.
  • Provide well packaged' comprehensive financial and management accounting to the business. Includes: balance sheets, manpower, capital, revenue and expenditure as well as financial analytics.
  • Manage the development of your team - ensure continuous improvement and realisation of full potential.
  • Ensure compliance - adhere to all corporate, statutory and regulatory requirements including Group Standing Instructions, Group Financial Standing Instructions and International Accounting Standards.
