Your New Role...

The International Regulations & Content Compliance department provides a wide range of corporate support to the Warner Bros. Discovery business. Amongst them, the department is responsible for a variety of broadcast or on-demand licenses, and the requirements that come with those licenses. This department must ensure compliance with these licenses, and the associated Codes, are adhered to. It will be the joint responsibility of the administrator to ensure that advertising and sponsorship campaigns are compliant with the UK's CAP and BCAP advertising codes (with rules enforced by the UK's Advertising Standards Authority) and Ofcom Broadcasting Code, as well as Ireland's Coimisiún na Meán and Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland codes . This department works very closely with the various ad sales and sponsorship departments who will require advice on the codes, and how to ensure that the adverts or sponsorship campaigns are compliant. These are usually meeting and email-based requests.

The administrator will be expected to have excellent communication skills, departmental coordination, time management skills and problem-solving. The administrator must be able to review the material, have a full understanding of the CAP, BCAP, Ofcom, Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland and Coimisiún na Meán codes, and be able to advise if the material is compliant. And if not, be able to make recommendations on how to make the campaign compliant and secure the commercial deal for the business.

The scope of this role expands to advertising campaigns primarily for linear and streaming, sponsorship campaigns for linear and streaming, and competition campaigns for broadcast TV and online.

The administrator must have full knowledge of the BCAP and CAP advertising Codes and the Ofcom broadcasting Codes.

A further role will be to assist the Manager with a variety of the Ofcom licence reporting duties, for example, but not limited to; Access Services, transmission and financial reporting for broadcast TV and On Demand.

The administrator must have knowledge of these reports and how to complete them with the supervision of the manager.

Your Role Accountabilities...
  • Will be responsible for providing advice to the AdSales departments on ad hoc advertising campaigns and a wide range of sponsorship campaigns for linear and digital services
  • Will be responsible for liaising with the various commercial departments and managing the output within the department
  • Will be responsible for ensuring the compliance requirements are met by a range of departments
  • Will be responsible to assist with the Ofcom reporting duties, ranging from quotas for Access Services and European Works to programme spend and revenue
Qualifications & Experience...
  • Knowledge of the BCAP and CAP advertising Codes and familiarity with Advertising Standards Authority rulings
  • Knowledge of Section 9 of The Ofcom Broadcasting Code
  • Familiar with Ofcom's Code of Scheduling Television Advertising (COSTA), particularly commercial minutage
  • Knowledge of Ofcom licence requirements, as well as quota reporting is an advantage
  • Be able to provide compliance advice on sponsorship credits/billboards
  • Ability to manage a range of requests, prioritising and coordinating those with the appropriate time frame
  • Willingness to learn about the depth of commercial compliance
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, including proof reading
  • A motivation to grow and adapt to a rapidly changing business
  • A solution-oriented mindset

This job will include working within an organisation committed to compliance and exploring a variety of commercial opportunities. Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
